Reflection from Ray Horst

The following is an excerpt from an account of Camp 55 by Ray E. Horst:

"Many of us at Belton had opportunity to learn to know members of the Mountain View Mennonite Church at Kalispell, Montana. Kalispell was an isolated Mennonite church that was several hundred miles from the next closest church...In the Kalispell community we were introduced to eating bear, moose and elk meat for the first time. We had many times of fellowship and sharing together. The church experienced some difficulties. The pulpit was blown up at one point and the building was painted with much graffiti because they were peace people and known as conscientious objectors."
