Profile of Wilbur Stickrath
The following is a profile of Wilbur Stickrath written by Ted Neff in the Whispering Pines newsletter at CPS Camp 8:
"Wilbur 'Sticky' Stickrath hails from Dayton, Ohio and he is a member of the second group assigned to Camp Marietta. Brother Sticky is a member of the Seventh Day Adventist church and a firm convert of the vegetarian diet. His hobby is one that consumes most of his time during off-project hours......and that is sleeping, which he now has down to a fine science. Quote: 'Next to sleeping I like resting best.' Always, after returning from a furlough, he looks forward to going home again to take care of some 'unfinished business.' There seems to be one of several girls to complicate the situation. Before joining the ranks of the C.O.'s Sticky was an interior decorator, and now he is looking forward to fighting fires in California."
