CPS Unit No. 101, Subunit [6], located at Manchester College in Indiana, a college supported by the Brethren, enrolled the largest number of CPS men in the ten-week program directed by Dr. A. W. Cordier to prepare a reserve of trained relief workers. Manchester, with seventy-six men, accepted women applicants who were college graduates or who school administrators viewed as good candidates for nursing, social service, or clerical support positions in war zones. The women, however, paid their own tuition. For more information on the Manchester College summer program, including the curriculum and the faculty, see Eisan pp. 317-321.
